The Leadership Bundle is a series of training courses that are part of the Wellbeing & Activities Training for Staff and is targeted and focused on leadership development towards the delivery of wellbeing care in your home. Our leadership training courses will provide you with all the practical skills and knowledge on areas such as documentation, compliance and regulations, planning and delegation, managing staff, effective KPIs and many more, to take the management of your care delivery to the next level. 

The leadership training courses available come in the form of face-to-face workshops and last for 4 hours. All courses are CPD Certified and are available for everyone at the care home to undertake, but they would be especially suitable for these in management or leadership roles who hold a focus on wellbeing within your homes.

Course 01 – Celebrating and Evidencing Success 

This course is a face-to-face workshop, in which you will be supported with the knowledge and skills necessary to cultivate a culture of recognition, appreciation and evidence-based practices within their care settings. 

Through this workshop, you will explore the psychological and organisational benefits of celebrating achievements, learn techniques for identifying and acknowledging successes and understand their significance.  

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Understand why celebrating achievements and using evidence is crucial in care settings for boosting morale, wellbeing and credibility 
  • Understand the importance of recognising and celebrating both small and big accomplishments among residents and staff 
  • Learn how to collect and organise evidence to show how care practices make a difference and how to effectively share this evidence with others 
  • Learn how to develop ways to encourage a culture of recognition and celebration that suits residents and staff 



Course 02 – Creative Thinking for Wellbeing Leaders 

This workshop will support you with the essential skills and mindset to effectively leverage creative thinking in your leadership role. You will explore the relationship between creativity and wellbeing leadership, you will learn to cultivate innovative environments, master creative problem-solving techniques and implement empathetic and forward-thinking approaches. 

This course offers a dynamic blend of theory, practical experiences and collaborative activities to empower you with the tools you need to inspire positive change, foster a thriving culture and provide innovative solutions within the realms of wellbeing leadership. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Understand how creative thinking enhances wellbeing leadership and how it promotes positive changes and fresh solutions 
  • Learn how to foster an open environment that welcomes diverse ideas, cultivating innovation for wellbeing initiatives 
  • Be able to master various problem-solving techniques to address complex wellbeing issues with multiple creative options 
  • Develop empathy and emotional intelligence skills to enhance team wellbeing through understanding and connection 
  • Be able to apply design thinking to develop and implement creative solutions, adapting confidently to change

Course 03 – Documentation and Evidencing Wellbeing 

This face-to-face workshop will teach you how to document and gather evidence of wellbeing effectively. Through engaging modules, you’ll learn why wellbeing documentation matters, how to use different methods for evidence collection, strategies for maintaining accurate records, and how to create compelling evidence portfolios. 

This course equips you with the skills to promote positive wellbeing while respecting ethical and legal guidelines. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Gain a greater understanding of why documentation of wellbeing is important 
  • Be able to use different methos to collect wellbeing information 
  • Know what to include in effective wellbeing documentation 
  • Learn how to create surveys, interviews and questionaries for assessing wellbeing

Course 04 – Effective KPIs for Wellbeing 

This face-to-face workshop will equip you with the relevant knowledge and skills needed to enhance the wellbeing of individuals in your care. This will be achieved through training which shows the impact of organisational success through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 

Through this course, you will learn how and where to select relevant wellbeing metrics, how to create actionable KPIs, and establish efficient data collection methods for measuring KPIs. The course will discuss and teach the skills needed to cultivate a wellbeing-focused culture, leading to improved wellbeing for those under your care which will in turn impact and create positive outcomes for your organisation. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Understand the importance of wellbeing KPIs in the business and creating organisational success in this area 
  • Gain the ability to identify relevant metrics for different dimensions of employee wellbeing 
  • Gain proficiency in designing SMART wellbeing KPIs for your team 
  • Learn how to collate effective data and have the tools for measuring wellbeing

Course 05 – Identifying and Understanding Your Leadership 

This workshop will empower you with the knowledge and tools necessary to recognise, embrace and develop your own unique leadership style.  

Through a blend of theory, interactive activities, case studies and self-assessment exercises, you will gain a deep understanding of the six main leadership types, your associated strengths and challenges, and how to adapt your leadership approach based on varying situations.  

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Have identified your main leadership approach, understanding your strengths and areas on which to improve 
  • Understand key leadership theories and how they shape different leadership styles 
  • Understand how different leadership styles impact teams and outcomes through the evaluation of real cases 
  • Know how to adjust your leadership style to fit different situations and team needs 
  • Develop a personalised plan to enhance your leadership strengths and address weaknesses

Course 06 – Leading Change and Motivating People 

This workshop is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to effectively lead change and motivate individuals when introducing wellbeing initiatives. This course will also look at how to prioritise the wellbeing of individuals and teams. 

Through a mix of interactive sessions, group activities and discussions, you will gain a deep understanding of change management principles, motivational strategies and resilience-building techniques, all within the context of promoting someone’s overall wellbeing. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Understand how emotions and psychology influence wellbeing during change 
  • Recognise the different leadership styles and how to use them effectively 
  • Understand how to create inspiring visions that drive change with wellbeing 
  • Learn how to effectively use different communication styles to motivate people during change 
  • Be able to apply motivational theories for personal and team wellbeing 
  • Understand how to build a positive environment that keeps people engaged 
  • Know how to put together strategic plans for wellbeing initiatives to support your team and the individuals within your care

Course 07 – Management of Wellbeing Provision 

This workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills that are essential to create a nurturing and supportive environment for both care home residents and staff. 

You will gain a deep understanding of wellbeing’s multidimensional aspects, explore strategies to establish a holistic wellbeing environment, learn effective communication techniques, develop tools for continuous improvement and feel empowered to lead positive change in your care setting, enhancing the quality of life and fostering a healthier, more compassionate person-centred culture. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Understand the importance of wellbeing in a care setting 
  • Understand how to create an environment that supports the wellbeing of individuals 
  • Have gained improved communication skills for better interaction 
  • Be able to practice self-care techniques to prevent burnout

Course 08 – Managing Stress and Anxiety for Staff 

Through this workshop, you will gain a greater understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to effectively understand, manage and reduce stress and anxiety in the workplace. You will gain insights into the nature of stress and anxiety, their impacts on individual and organisational wellbeing and strategies for building emotional and cognitive resilience.  

The course will also focus on developing a workplace culture of support, implementing practical workplace changes and fostering personal commitment to ongoing self-care. You will be empowered to create a healthier work environment, enhance your own wellbeing, and contribute to a more positive and productive workplace culture. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Be able to clearly differentiate between stress and anxiety and understand what causes them and how they affect mental and physical health 
  • Be able to recognise the signs of stress and anxiety and use techniques like deep breathing and positive thinking to manage these feelings 
  • Learn how to build emotional and mental strength by gaining a greater understanding of how to handle emotions better and think positively, which will help when facing tough situations 
  • Be able to use strategies like relaxation exercises, better time management and setting personal limits to handle stressors and balance work and personal life 
  • Know how to promote a work culture where people can talk openly about mental health, ask for help, and access resources when needed 



Course 09 – Planning and Delegation within your Team 

This workshop is designed to support you with the skills and strategies necessary for impactful planning and delegation within your team. Through interactive activities such as case study discussions, role plays, collaborative care plan development and decision-making simulations, you will have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the significance of planning and delegation in enhancing care and team efficiency.  

By focusing on goal-oriented techniques and fostering continuous improvement, you will leave the course empowered to implement practical strategies that promote effective collaboration, communication and resource allocation within your care team. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Understand and identify opportunities for better planning and delegation using SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) analysis 
  • Be able to use different delegation approaches for various tasks and team members 
  • Know how to develop resident-focused care plans that involve teamwork and resource management 
  • Learn how to make quick and informed decisions while assigning tasks appropriately 
  • Learn how to apply optimised planning and delegation to foster growth and teamwork within your care team 
  • Be able to use clear communication when delegating tasks and providing feedback

Course 10 – Volunteer Engagement and Training 

This face-to-face workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to effectively recruit, train and engage volunteers in diverse care environments. You will learn how to define volunteer roles, create engaging onboarding strategies, develop tailored support programmes, nurture positive volunteer-staff relationships and ensure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals. 

The course also covers specialised care areas, continuous improvement through feedback, safeguarding practices and fostering empathy. You will be equipped to create a dynamic volunteer workforce that contributes to the enhanced quality of your care service. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Learn how to distinctly define roles that volunteers hold within care settings 
  • Acquire the skills to create personalised support programmes that encompass essential care knowledge and skills 
  • Learn how to encourage constructive relationships between volunteers and staff through effective communication

Course 11 – Wellbeing Budget Management 

This face-to-face workshop will teach you how to plan and monitor budgets while prioritising the wellbeing of individuals in your care. Through interactive sessions, you will have the chance to learn about the basics of budgeting, as well as financial terms and the budgeting process. 

The course covers aligning budgets with wellbeing goals, effective resource use, and ways to control costs. The workshop also emphasises how important continuous monitoring and feedback is, and how it leads to better budget management and the impact this has on improving care quality and overall wellbeing. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Grasp fundamental budget concepts and processes in care settings 
  • Understand the connection between budgeting and enhancing an individual’s wellbeing 
  • Learn how to efficiently distribute funds across areas for optimal results

Course 12 – Wellbeing Compliance and Regulations 

This workshop will give you a deep understand of the legal frameworks, responsibilities and best practices that relate to wellbeing. In this course, you will explore the significance of wellbeing compliance, delve into key legislation and regulations, examine health and safety considerations, embrace inclusivity and equality principles and gain practical insights in how to implement effective wellbeing compliance strategies. 

You will be empowered to foster a culture of holistic wellbeing within your organisation, all while ensuring legal compliance and promoting the overall health and happiness of employees. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

  • Grasp the basics of adhering to wellbeing rules in the workplace 
  • Recognise and understand relevant laws like the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Equality Act 
  • Be able to identify risks, prevent potential problems and maintain employee physical and mental health
